THE NEW PLEASURE PRINCIPAL..

I have a solid social media presence. The upside is that I can reach many people when I feel the need to express myself. The downside is I am constantly questioning and judging what I look like. I have not taken new content pictures much this year. It’s probably a combination of me getting older, combined with Covid, I’ve put on a couple of pounds. Like many of us have. The last thing I wanna do when I’m feeling a little chunky is to take cute pictures to fulfill some fantasy vision of what I think…

As my girlfriend says..” We are past half time my sister.” I am older than I’d like to admit. But I can still kick ass and take some names. This whole Covid thing has everyone reassessing their lives.

I know many of us are sitting on our couch is thinking “what will I do with my life now?” “Whats next for me?” “What will I do to survive after this?”

Are we too late to the game for a big change?

Do we really want to turn our lives upside down at this point?

Do we want to slam on…

IN RESPONSE……

Fall for a man that makes you feel safe.

One that you want to stay rather than leave…

One that is comfortable in his own skin, in his own company .

Fall for a man that knows his own faults, and works hard to make them his strengths .

A man that works every day to make himself and the world around him better than the day before, and not just for you, but because it’s what real men do.

Fall for a man that reads more than scrolls, listens not trolls, and absolutely knows where to bite…

Sitting on the beach barefoot in January watching friends surf. I am not in Florida, or southern California, I live in New Jersey.

Everyone I meet has a large smile on their faces and s they walk by, commenting on the “beautiful weather”. The weather is beautiful, I don’t deny, but not natural. Its kinda crazy to me that no one seems to be concerned with the why. Even the local news anchors are smiling away, not questioning what I think should be a major news flash, “Why is it 70 degrees in NJ in January?”

The effects of global…

Vegan isn’t a four letter word…

I am vegan. In my life I have rescued animals of all kinds, I live with two of them, my dogs.

Dogs can be vegan, but mine are not, I buy chicken necks from a butcher, they eat mostly raw.

I found, through trial and error that this was the best for them.

Yesterday was one of those days that the fact that I’m handling a dead animal, an animal that have rescued many times from death at the hands of others, It makes my heart and my stomach hurt.

We live in a…

I am a long time yoga teacher by trade, leading classes before this “look at me” generation really got a foothold. Early in my career, just having a website was considered some serious forward thinking.

This was life before Facebook, Instagram, no snappy chatty, crowdsourcing, TikToking, there was no five minute updates on everyones last meal, or choreographed dance challenges getting 3 million views.

It was a simpler time. I sound really old saying that, but it’s true.

For many years my more tech savvy friends baited me into FB into IG , luring me in with promises of fame…

Let me begin by saying that these words are coming out of the mouth of an adult female yoga instructor of almost 20 years. I have been around the block both in the yoga room and the bedroom. I am well aware of how sex changes yoga and how yoga changes sex. A healthy synergy of yoga and sex can be beautiful and fulfilling , however when not healthy, or invited, sex and yoga can create life-long physical and emotional damage.

If yoga is an important and integral part of your life, you have seen the headlines, “Yoga teacher outed”…
